Action Biker - Hesperian Pusito

Currently, I’m growing obsessed with Action Biker, aka. Sarah Nyberg Pergament. It started with a mashup I heard years ago that combined Action Biker “la conjugaison pour tous”, Bow Wow “Like You”, and Architecture in Helsinki “Frenchy, I’m Faking”. So then I went looking on YouTube for the unmashed “la conjugaison pour tous” and found a partial live version shot on Super8 and a more normal concert version. It also lead me to a song about her grocery store and a series of intensely direct videos of her face as she sings.

Anyway, I like her singing style because it’s so personal and unpolished. It’s like the opposite of autotune. Also, there’s something about the Swedishness of her face that makes her seem like a lost third cousin of mine or something.

The one problem? Her album was never released in the US. Fortunately, it looks like her label’s site takes USD.
